Good Intentions!

Life is amusing with many a twist,
turning and bending,
from the first 
to the last 
and back 
in a whirl,
a swirl,
of many 
good intentions.

Keeping the balance,
dancing the dance. 
Don't drop the ball!
Just one more chance!

The road to hell
is paved,
so I am told,
with many's 
good intentions!

The Wandering Poet ...

I used to write poetry,

or so I thought.

But my mind went off wandering,

my attention got caught.

 

I wandered the world

of mindless emotion.

Got caught in a place

devoid of creation.

 

And then, one day,

while looking around.

This place! I'd forgot!

But so glad I found.

So here, once again,

I stand, cap in hand.

As I try to remember

how to dance in the sand.

How to write and to dream,

how to reach into my soul.

How to write elegant poetry

as my ultimate goal!

Forgive me, my reader,

as I stumble and play.

As I struggle with words,

and just what to say ...
